Documents needed to apply for a home mortgage:
  1. Copy of complete sales contract with buyers and seller signature.
  2. Name, address and phone number of employers for the past two years.
  3. Pay stubs covering one month.
  4. Copies of W-2’s for the past year. If you have commissions, bonus, rental or interest dividends as income, the past two year’s income tax returns, signed by the borrower.
  5. Proof of social security disability income, if applicable.
  6. Self employed persons: Two years signed business tax returns and year to date profit and loss signed by borrower and accountant.
  7. If applicable, a copy of original divorce decree and child support agreement if you pay child support, alimony or separate maintenance.
  8. Copies of the last two months bank statements, and other investment accounts including retirement and stock and bonds.
  9. A copy of diploma if borrower has been a student during the past two years.
  10. If applicable, a copy of bankruptcy discharge papers for any bankruptcy discharge in the past seven years.
  11. Copy of drivers license and social security card.
  12. Name, address, and phone numbers for landlords for the past two years.
